What is it with us? Are we loosing the control or are we turning into control freaks?
It was one autumn afternoon in October. I remember it vividly.
I was at my desk and suddenly it happened. I was thinking about it for a while and I knew this routine is not sustainable for much longer. It has made me mentally and physically sick. What I did not know was how bad it was!
All human fears are rooting from fear of death…
We struggle with the definition and try to deny it when it comes to ourselves!
Death is real.
It will come.
And you are never fully prepared. It is something we experience over and over again in small parts of our life cycle, or witnessed it in others but always manage to cut off our association with it.
Don’t you feel the pressure of being perfect at everything you do stressful, time consuming and at times even depressing?
I can confess that I am tired of trying for perfection and you know what? Since I don’t care that much I feel so much better.
This urge and pressure of being the best Mom, the best employee, the best Boss, the best this and the best that is just killing us!
Ayurveda is a combination of two words in Sanskrit (Ayur or Ayus= Life and Veda = Science). It therefore together means “Science of Life”. I don’t know about you but I am feeling tired and need more sleep these days. Looking outside I see the trees losing their leaves and days becoming shorter, and birds flying away…everything in nature seems to be going inward and quieting down…into a deep winter sleep.
However we are not. We carry the same pressure if not more, going towards Christmas, Exams, projects, planning and continue with more doing. The tension of having to perform, achieve and present is ongoing…
